Looking for the perfect way to explore the Central Wheatbelt during your stay at Mather Farm? We’ve got you covered.
This Easter, we put together a series of half- and full-day trips specially designed for our guests — and we didn’t just guess what might be fun. We tested every route ourselves, with family and friends visiting from Sydney. (They survived the dirt roads, the country bakeries, and the endless photo stops — and even asked for seconds.)

Each itinerary is built to show you the best of the Wheatbelt — the stunning granite outcrops, the iconic Tin Horse Highway, charming local pubs, and some of our favourite hidden gems that you won’t find on every tourist map.

What you’ll find in our day trips:
A mix of sights — not just rocks! (Though we do love a good rock.)
Easy driving routes with realistic travel times
Great country pubs, cafes, and bakeries
Perfect picnic spots, quirky roadside attractions, and a few surprises
Family-tested and chiweenie-approved (if you meet her, you’ll understand)
Whether you’ve got a few hours or a full day to spare, there’s something here to help you experience the real heart of the Wheatbelt — at your own pace, with plenty of time to stop, explore, and enjoy.
